My Love in the Sky

It’s a narrative dramatic film about the physical and emotional struggles our servicemen & women face upon returning from war.

A military pilot comes back from Iraq emotionally and physically damaged. He cannot adjust to his life as a civilian. Now his wife must decide whether she wants life as a successful business woman, or will she instead go to work to save her young marriage and help her wounded husband to survive upon his return to civilian life.

SOCIAL COMPONENT: This story portrays a couple whose unique challenges provide a lens into this American (human) reality. To go through difficulties, to find a way to live, to survive we must challenge the fundamental truths we were originally taught to wage war.

The story portrays dramatically the truth we are learning today around the treatment of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder): only through vulnerability and opening one’s heart to face shame and fear, can trust and love shine through into the most difficult time in rehabilitating lives.

This project is in development.
